The Wow Story

The story of how Wow was created starts in 2003 and, as all good stories often do, starts with a curry! The directors got together one evening and started to discuss what would happen if they all left their jobs and setup a business on their own. And the motivation behind this change? They wanted to try to revolutionise the accountancy profession and provide something new and exciting, designed specifically for small businesses.

Revolutionising a whole profession sounds like a rather grand notion, but Wow’s founders were fed up with what they saw as accountants getting away with providing ‘ordinary service’. They firmly believed that small businesses deserved more and set about creating a business focussed on providing amazing client service.

Since its incorporation in February 2004, Wow has been growing steadily, taking on more team members, working with some exciting, ambitious clients and continuing to build on the original motivations behind starting Wow. The accountancy industry may not be completely revolutionised yet, but an uprising has started in the South of England and word is spreading!

So how did they decide on the name Wow? Well, naming the firm after the directors seemed a little dull as ‘Bulpitt, Czapp & Weeks’ wasn’t likely to inspire anyone and certainly wasn’t going to make them stand out from other companies. Instead they wanted a name that really represented the service they provide for their clients and there was no better word for this than...... Wow!
