Liz Jackson is a truly inspirational figure and her story is extraordinary; as many would have seen when she was featured in Channel 4’s Secret Millionaire programme. Since launching her telemarketing business, Great Guns Marketing in 1998, the year she lost her eyesight, Liz and her company have gone from strength to strength with Great Guns growing at 30% per annum, despite the recent challenging economic conditions.

Under Liz’s leadership, Great Guns was voted the best female-led company in the UK by T Mobile and The Sunday Express, and won the Customer Focus Award in the National Business Awards. Liz herself has been honoured by Her Majesty The Queen who awarded her an MBE in the 2007 New Year's Honours for services to business. Liz is also an accomplished author and her book ‘StartUp!’ provides invaluable help and advice to entrepreneurs everywhere.

Liz is a truly inspirational speaker, so we're delighted that she is able to be our guest speaker at our very special summer event. Having grown her own business through challenging times, Liz will be sharing her tips on how business owners can grow their businesses, regardless of the economic conditions. Be prepared to be inspired and to leave with loads of great ideas that you can take back and implement right away.

This event is in association with Naomi House and jacksplace, a local charity supported by Liz Jackson and The Wow Company. Naomi House and jacksplace are hospices for children and young adults with conditions that mean they are unlikely to live to become adults. The charity has two specialist units, Naomi House for children, and jacksplace for young adults. Each is purpose-built and offers an appropriate environment for each age group.

It costs around £5million a year to run the two units, with the charity receiving around 10% of its funding from the Department of Health. The remaining £4.5million is raised by people and businesses across region. Liz Jackson and Wow are pleased to be supporting such a great cause.
